What to expect at the Cheltenham Festival
Have you heard the Cheltenham Roar? Some say the roar is loud enough to drown out the sound of our fleet of helicopters!
The roar rises at the beginning of the first race of the Cheltenham Festival – four days of quality jump racing and spectacle, which culminates in the Cheltenham Gold Cup – a race that will have you cheering on your favourite.
Described as horse racing’s favourite fixture the festival begins with Champion Day on Tuesday 10th, closely followed by Ladies Day on Wednesday 15th at which there are fashion awards.
The party spirit continues on Thursday with an early celebration of St Patricks Day and two races to look out for are the Ladbrokes World Hurdle and the Ryanair Chase.
On Friday 17th horse racing fans around the world will be looking to the course for the climax of the jump season, the Betfred Cheltenham Gold Cup, which has an electric atmosphere to be savoured first hand.
It’s a week of entertainment that deserves your full attention and a helicopter charter will solve many of your travel issues.
You’ll arrive refreshed, avoiding any traffic queues and the stress that can accompany such journeys. If you are entertaining, your guests will fly in above 40,000 people which can only heighten their experience.
Atlas Helicopters – Dedicated to Detail.
Our whole fleet will be at your disposal over the Cheltenham Festival and we’ll be landing at a designated heliport with courtesy transport to take you into the racecourse.
Depending on which aircraft you book our flight times from London range from 45 minutes and from the home counties it is around 40 – 35 minutes.
One item to consider is that some aircraft cannot fly at night which means some flights to London will leave before the last race – if you book early this is not a problem as we’ll be able to accommodate you.
We can also arrange your hotel, corporate entertainment and any other item on your itinerary. For example Lords of the Manor, the luxury hotel close to Cheltenham is part of our heli-dining selection and makes an excellent base for the whole week.
Please call our friendly operations team to book your flight and discuss any other horse racing event.
