Fly to the Six Nations Championship with Atlas Helicopters

Rugby Six Nations Championship (known as the Guinness Six Nations for sponsorship reasons) is an international rugby union competition between six European teams: England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales. The tournament is played over five successive weekends during February and March of each year. The tournament was first played in 1883 as the Home Nations Championship, being renamed in 1910 when France joined to form the Five and later Six Nations. It has been held every year since then, with exception of 1914 and 1940 due to World War I and World War II respectively.

The current champions are Wales who won the 2021 championship, their fourth Six Nations Championship in ten years. All fixtures count towards the overall points total: four points are awarded for a win; two for a draw; and none for a loss. Home advantage in matches is decided by where the match is being held that season, except in the case of France home games played at Stade de France in Paris regardless of venue.

A team that wins all its games wins the ‘Grand Slam’. A ‘Blank’ year is when a team wins none of the games. A ‘Triple Crown’ is won by beating England, Scotland and Wales during one tournament; it can also be achieved by winning two home games and three away games.
