Arrive at the Ladbrokes Trophy & Winter Festival in Style with Atlas Helicopters

The Ladbrokes Trophy is an event that all horse racing fans look for in the calendar.  It’s a Grade 3 National Hunt steeplechase that takes place at Newbury Racecourse, England which is open to horses aged four years or older.  The course is 5,225 meters long and there are 21 fences to be jumped.  Each year it is scheduled to take place in late November or early December.  So, what can you expect from the Ladbrokes Trophy & Winter Festival?

Friday 26th November – Gentlemen’s Day

The two days of action kicks off with Gentlemen’s Day, a day to dress up with friends and family.  There are 7 races taking place throughout the day, but the feature race is the Ladbrokes Long Distance Hurdle Race Grade 2.  This race is one of the first chances to see some of the three-mile champions in action, with recent winners including Unowhatimeanharry, Paisley Park and Thyme Hill.  Below is the order of running for gentlemen’s day.

Saturday 27th November – Ladbrokes Trophy Day

This is the main event!  Ladbrokes trophy day is one of the social events of the season.  You can expect festive menus, mulled wine and winter cocktails in the ‘Winter Garden’.  This is the perfect excuse to get your glad rags on and welcome the festive season.  Ladbrokes Trophy Day sees one of the most historical chases in the country with the Trophy over 3 miles and 2 furlongs!  Here is the order of running for Ladbrokes Trophy Day.
