Press Release - 10th May 2009

London welcomes Atlas Helicopters Ltd
Atlas Helicopters whom have been a major helicopter charter provider in the South have recently established an operating base at Redhill Aerodrome just to the South of London. With only 10-minutes flight time into the Centre of London, Atlas Helicopters is ideally placed to meet the needs of many clients whom wish to fly from the City or West End. Whether it be business helicopter charter or private helicopter hire, Atlas is able to cater for most requirements.

Atlas Helicopters has long established itself as a major on-shore helicopter charter and helicopter hire provider with the use of its existing Eurocopter AS355 Twin Squirrel fleet, but now stepping up to the Agusta A109 Power market, it was vital to have that London connection.

Chief Executive and pilot, Capt. Mike Burns said 'Atlas Helicopters needed a London presence to grow. From humble beginnings we have seen incredible growth, but there is still room to cement our presence within the London helicopter charter market and compete with existing London based operators'.

Now in its 9th year of operations, Atlas has not only recently added an Agusta A109 Power to the fleet, but also another AS355 Twin Squirrel and a Bell 206L LongRanger which will support its 'Helicopterdays' operations which was purchased in October of 2008, specialising in London Helicopter Tours.

Atlas Helicopters looks forward to a very busy year, especially in the sporting calendar with both Royal Ascot and the British Grand Prix falling in June. Other outdoor events in July such as the CLA Game Fair at Belvoir Castle will be well-attended and the offer of a local helicopter shuttle service will be sure to drum up some business.

Atlas Helicopters is now actively taking charter bookings for both Royal Ascot and the British Grand Prix. If you have a requirement to travel to either of these hugely popular events, why not give them a call and try out their first rate service.
